SPRING TRAINING CLINICS WITH MASTER COACH, BOB YUEN
Focus is offering some training clinics with experienced, master coach, Bob Yuen. Bob is an experienced coach in the club, school and provincial volleyball scene. He has assisted coaches and athletes with both their physical and mental development.
Each session, Bob will be working on : a)Hitting/Attacking. b) Serve Receive/Passing. C) Setting
Cost: $25 (for non-Focus members) per session
(You must purchase a Volleyball BC membership (recreational or competitive athlete...if you don't have one aleady)

VOLLEYBALL CLUB IS GETTING READY FOR AN EXCITING 2025 INDOOR SEASON!
FOCUS VOLLEYBALL CLUB IS BASED ONE OF THE LARGER LOWER MAINLAND VOLLEYBALL CLUBS. We have our teams primarily based out of the Burnaby/East Van- Tri-Cities area. We are running 23 teams this club season and are one of the largest clubs within the Volleyball BC membership.
UPDATE Mar 15 - Grass season registration will open very soon. (Mid-April) The grass court program is open to all genders ages 12 to 18 .
We will also be running a number of grass tournaments during the summer, stay tuned for more information.
Grass season details:
Cost will be $125 for the summer grass program, plus a Volleyball BC recreational player membership which is around $15. We play 4 nights a week, Mon - Thurs at Mundy Park(Field 3) in Coquitlam from 6-8 pm weather permitting. Grass runs over 30 sessions, from Mid - June to at least Aug 14th.
This is an outstanding value. We will run open training as well in the summer, usually Monday nights, but we may offer more.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: After registering for the grass program you will need to purchase a Volleyball BC membership through Sportlomo (you'll need to set up an account first). This membership is a requirement from our provincial governing sport body, Volleyball BC.

FOCUS VOLLEYBALL SUCCESSES DURING THE 2024 SEASON
Congratulations to our Focus Volleyball Club Teams who won medals at Provincials and Nationals.
2024 PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS & MEDALISTS
Focus teams won four provincials titles. Also noteworthy is our 13u/14u boys program which has been most successful for the past 20 plus years.
We are very proud of last year's combined results of our 13u/14u Boys program. Five of our six 13u & 14u boys teams won provincial medals including two provincial championship titles!!!
The previous year the 14u's were the national champions while the 13u's were the highest placing 13u team at the 14u Nationals. As well, the Focus Volleyball Club 13u/14 boys program won three provincial medals in 2023.

INDOOR CLUB SEASON NOTES:
Our club is based out of the Burnaby-Tri-Cities area, but we accept athletes from anywhere in the Greater Vancouver Area. Where we have more than one team at an age level we divide the teams by skill level (i.e. A and B teams).
The indoor club season generally runs from early December to the end of May. (We start practicing in January).
Teams generally have 2 practices a week and attend 4 or more tournaments/events during the season. These tournaments take place on the weekend.
Coaches have demonstrated passion for the game of volleyball and working with young athletes. All of our coaches are expected to be certified through the National Coaches Certification Program.
