FOCUS VOLLEYBALL CLUB IS ONE OF THE LARGER LOWER MAINLAND VOLLEYBALL CLUBS.

We are dedicated to the development of young athletes in an inclusive, fun and safe environment. Our teams are primarily based out of Burnaby, East Vancouver, Tri-Cities and Surrey.

Tryout registration NOW OPEN for ALL age categories!

Each tryout session runs for 1.5 to 2 hours and have a limited number of spots due to court and facility capacity limits:

(i) REGISTERING ONLINE is the recommended way to secure your spot. A non-refundable participant fee of $35 will be applied at the time of registration.

(ii) ONE TRYOUT SESSION per participant please - we ask that you only register for ONE tryout session to allow slots for other athletes.

(iii) REGISTRATION DEADLINE applies to online registrations, which close 9pm the day prior to the tryout session.

(iv) TRANSFERS to another tryout session can be done provided there is room in the session and it is before the registration deadline. Please register for your preferred tryout session and provide us with your original tryout session information (e.g. Nov. 29 from 9am to 11am at HJSC) during registration process. A credit of original participant fee less a $10 change fee will be processed.

(v) IN PERSON REGISTRATION can be done provided there is room available in the tryout session. An additional administration fee of $10 will be charged to register onsite. Please arrive early to allow time to fill in the necessary forms.

(vi) CALL BACKS will be by invitation only to athletes who will be asked to attend another tryout session for further evaluation. There will be no additional fee for the call back session.

Tryouts for other age categories have the following start dates:

12U and 13U begins on November 9
14U begins on November 16
15U begins on November 23rd
16U+ begins on November 30th

COACHES NEEDED!

Focus Volleyball Club is looking for coaches (both head and assistant coaches) for the upcoming 2026 season. Our club is looking for keen and dedicated individuals who want to work with young athletes and help them compete to the best of their ability. We are looking for coaches for our 12U to 18U boys and programs.

The club will provide coaches with an honorarium and cover the cost of your coaches certification and training courses plus travel expenses for out of town tournaments. We also have a mentor coach to support the coaches in our club.

Coaches Wanted!

We are always looking for great coaches at all levels who would like to join our team. We provide training, an honorarium, travel cost re-imbursement and loads of fun. Please email us if you are interested.

Indoor Club Season

The indoor club season generally runs from early December to the end of May, with tryouts staring in November and practices starting in January.

Teams generally have 2 practices a week and attend 4 or more weekend tournaments during the season.
